What's on your mind?
10:39am 17/12/2008
  1. I've decided not to give out Christmas cards this year. Not because I'm a Grinch, but rather because I'm lazy.

2. I'm on a diet, going on three weeks now... The lack of fat & sugar intake is really starting to play mind-games with me. I had dreams of dancing double cheeseburgers and french fry duets. So far 11 pounds lost... 26 more to go.

3. With every end of a holiday it seems that all I do is anticipate the next one. After the Christmas break I'll be looking forward to MLK/Inauguration to get me through. It's my path to sanity via time-off from work.

4. Have you seen Jeff Gannon?

5. Drag Queen activity has been at an all time high. In the past week I have seen on average one drag queen a day - and I haven't been no where near Dupont in months!

6. Duck-taped penis.

What's on your mind?

I know I haven't "blogged" much lately, but I want to say a few things that are on my mind:

1. I am really, really going to miss Cindy McCain. Her reactions to anything her husband said were all so very classy.

2. Sasha and Malia need a pug as their reward for braving the campaign.

3. Bush promised to cooperate with the transition team, but I heard that the White House staff was already hard at work pulling down drapes and removing the 'O' from all the keyboards. Such a shame.

4. Penis.

Wow. LJ said it's been 29 WEEKS since I last updated. Well, I guess its HELLO AGAIN?!

Anyway, I wanted to share something that I just couldn't stop laughing at. Apparently the Obama rally that was held over the weekend in Oregon which attracted some 75,000 people didn't actually attract them because of Obama. No, they all came to see The Decemberists. You know, they are a band or something, at least according to some dolt over at the (apparently humor?) mag Newsbusters.

Hollywood Liberal Types: I've a bone to pick with you

For the past three weeks I have been subjected to trailer after agonizing trailer of Adam Sandler's new crapfest I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. Now I've never been a big Sandler fan, or a Kevin James fan for that matter, but come on this movie tops the cake in ridiculousness. Sure I haven't seen the movie, but then again I already know how it's going to unfold.

The trailer shows Sandler and James getting "married" by some androgynous freak of a Rabi/Priest and when asked to kiss the other, Sandler slaps James to show that he doesn't want to be kissed by a man. Then there is a scene where Sandler is shown to be assumed that he is ogling someones by undressing him with his eyes.

Is it just me or is this whole media assault hypocritical? Would the media promote this abomination of a film as extensively as they have been (read: NBC all night Chuck and Larry-a-thon) if it were two white men "pretending" to be black? If you replace the gay stereotypes like slapping each others ass, or ogling men's behinds with eating fried chicken and smoking crack would there be outrage or praise? Would Adam Sandler be invited to be on the Tonight Show, the Today Show, and host an evening of "comedy shows" if that were the case?

I doubt it.

As some of you know I work with a government agency that helps regulate Nanotechnologies (commonly found in cosmetics, cleaners, etc) and the use of carbon nanotubes is becoming a new art form, so today instead of a "funny" I bring you something interestingly funny.

That image is comprised of carbon nanotubes, and probably not much bigger than a 20 or 25 micrometers in width, which about the equivalent of a single skin cell.

This article really comes as no surprise to me. These mega churches put on such a show, it's like only a gay man can coordinate such a show. Fierce is the word, and thats why gay men are always the leaders of these places.
